Factory preparation makes it practical to coordinate steel framing, openings, connections, and installation planning before field work begins. Material selection, detailing, coatings, enclosure, local design inputs, and maintenance are reviewed for the project; no material alone determines whole-home performance.

A factory provides equipment, workspace, and production organization for material preparation and component fabrication. Project timing still depends on design decisions, site information, approvals, procurement, utilities, delivery, field work, and inspections.

For permitting, these homes follow the local approval process for conventional permanent residences and fit within the standard residential permitting system. More details
